REPORT:

An excellent league result on a course that had testing pin positions and fast running greens. The rain came down for most of the day but the course was in great condition. We were supported by the county president as well as the club captain and head green keeper; the latter taking on the role of escort to the president! Ciara had a superb 5-4 victory in the singles and the rest of the matches could have gone either way with close matches in all.                                                   Rosie Loh

REPORT:

The matches were more closely fought than the overall result shows, particularly in the singles where we tried to match handicaps of the players, with the exception of matches 3 and 5 where the captain and vice captain of Hereford and Worcs took on lower handicapped players. Well done to Dee Barker and Jackie Marks who came in as last minute replacements due to late injuries.

REPORT:

This is a revived friendly fixture now that we have lost Berkshire from the league and we were all pleased to re-instate it in the calendar. Trentham was in great condition and the greens were incredibly fast. Although we lost, many of the games were really close. The Staffs players were all low handicappers ranging from 5 to 8 whereas we ranged from 7 to 13 so we equipped ourselves well in the circumstances. Well done to Harriet Matthews in her debut for the team.

REPORT:

Once again the match was played with full handicap difference given and this proved to be a successful format with many close matches. The venue was excellent and the course was in superb condition with very true greens. A lovely meal followed and it was enjoyed by all. We were very fortunate to have the Presidents of both the County and the Vets spurring us on as they traversed the fairways in their buggy; at one time Mary-Anne came perilously close to falling out when Anne became a little over enthusiastic at the steering wheel!

REPORT:

An early start to the season but fortunately good weather prevailed even if it was a little cool! Ciara Kelly and Jeanette Wiiliams made their debut and both secured a half in the foursomes. Jeanette also had a half in the singles. Angela Catlin made a welcome return to the second team after a number of years absence.
