Match report :   Result Lost 3 ½ - 8 ½

It has been 3 years since we last played Staffs. We did not shine with glory. Once again a poor turnout of Ist Team players. The Juniors, Lucy (won) and Ciara (a/s) had great match results, along with Anna beating Staffs 2011 Champion and Meg having a good win. Putting and short game let the side down in the a.m round. Lucy and Julia enjoyed their close match and played well together. Chilly winds a.m and rain p.m , dismal weather. We hope to put out a stronger team next year.

Match report

A very enjoyable match and great timing this year with the run up to WHLCGA hosting CMW at The Worcs GC.

The players enjoyed the challenge and this year we re-negotiated and received an extra courtesy shot. 1 shot diff. in SS + 1courtesy = 2

The men played from the white tees and we played from the tees we were set to play for CMW, playing from yellow tees on the 7^th, 11^th, 14^th and 16^th.

Sarah and Anna played exceptionally well finishing 8 under gross having 3 birdies and 2 eagles each. The next 3 matches were very tight. Cath and Laura clawing back from 2 down. Katie and Hayley were 2 up most of the match but were only 1 up after 15^th and finished a/s.

Hayley Noel (a junior) had a hole in one on the par 3, hole 3.

REPORT:   A poor turnout of 1st Team players (only 2 available) due to exam revision and other prior engagements (a big football finals w/end). Extremely gusty winds on a short tricky course proved too much for a team consisting of juniors and 2nd Team. Foursomes matches were close and the singles matches could have gone one way or the other at the 15th and 16th holes. An eagle on the 17th Amy’s match to a/s but she narrowly lost on the 18th.
